Inonotus obliquus Extractum
Inonotus obliquus is a black parasitic fungus commonly grows in northern regions on birch trees. It has long been used as a folk medicine in several East European countries including Russia, where it is referred to as Chaga. Chaga is rich in triterpenes. The main compounds are lanosterol-type triterpenes related to inotodiol. Other compounds include betulin, polysaccharides, and soluble lignins.
